UPDATE... I stand by what I wrote previously, mostly, but while the on-site team at my rental location really IS terrific, the corporate side of this outfit leaves a lot to be desired. The sign-up digital tools really ARE good, but I've learned more since then. Lots of inflexibility, fee-happy and terse phone customer service at the higher level. No alerts and emails that are late or don't happen at all. They seem to believe they get to train the customer to their ways instead of understanding they need to be more accommodating of their customers to win and hold customers. Digital tools make that easy to do. They could stand some further digital transformation. They're far from the only choice in a competitive environment where there are choices. I'm out ASAP and won't do business there again. Bottom line, they got me in and then lost me. PREVIOUS REVIEW...Bree, Emily, Clarissa and Jen made a great team the day I signed on for my storage space. Coupled with really good digital tools, it was one of the best consumer experiences I've had in a long time. REALLY cool, simple, and best of all, WORKED!

Great Employees, Great Facility.  In 2013 I was diagnosed with cancer right after selling my house, during the move.  Emily was very helpful at that time, and during subsequent years she checked on me and made me feel personally interested, not only in my health but in the safety of my belongings.  

When my sister and I came to load up my units last week, Emily, Anthony, and Jen were incredibly helpful and made the move as easy as it could have been.  Great, great employees!!! And my belongings had no damage from insects, rodents, weather, etc.  I understand this is not always the case.  Very pleased with the facility and the service.

I am extremely pleased and impressed with Public Storage. I went there today to secure an incredible price for a 10 x 10 unit. Anthony helped me, and he was incredibly courteous and helpful. My unit was very clean and in great shape. Everyone behind the counter was friendly, making me feel very welcomed. Moving is stressful enough, so it's great to have one less worry. Thank you.

I rented a small unit here. The young woman behind the counter told me that insurance was required. This significantly pushed up the rate of the unit. She didn't mention to me that I could have bought my own. I found that out many months later. The price public storage was charging for the insurance was far higher than what I could have purchased elsewhere. So I dropped the insurance after i found this out by going into my account and opting out of the coverage. 

A few days after I opted out of the coverage I received a letter from public storage notifying me of a rate increase up to the amount I was paying WITH the insurance. 

So they simply decided to push up the rate to keep the extra profit coming in. 

So I've decided to end the unit and make space in my home for my storage items. This is ridiculous. From the lies they initially told me to get me to opt into their sky high insurance coverage to the sleazy move of suddenly hiking my storage rate when I opted out. 

Just Terrible Business. I'll never do business with public storage ever again.

My experience at Public Storage on Mockingbird was wonderful.  Nikkie was more than helpful and went above and beyond to assist me on a hectic moving day.  I am forever grateful.  Thanks Nikkie!
