We went at lunch. I've heard so many good things about Puckett's so we wanted to try it. Maybe we just went on a bad day. We got the meat & two and it wasn't that great. Certainly not worth $27 considering there was no ice and we had to drink ice-less, lukewarm fountain drinks. It truly was hard to even get the food down without a cold drink. The staff never suggested one of the bottle drinks from the coolers at the back of the store and I didn't realize they were there until we were almost through eating. That's my fault, I guess for not noticing. Hopefully this place is better in the evenings when the live music is playing.

Leiper's Fork is the epitome of Small town Tennessee. Small town with very limited food choices. The Puckett's is the main choice down there. The staff was very nice and hospitable as an embodiment of the southern feel of the town. The food however was not good. I ordered a meat and three (typical TN fare) with the meat being Beef Brisket which was extremely salty and lacked distinctive flavor. The mashed potatoes were served really cold and the collard greens were completely flavorless I had to discard them. The place gets three stars for the homey southern feel. If I had to rate them based on food only it would be 2 at best.

Can't beat this out if the way venue outside Nashville. You never know what great talent waits to entertain you. The food is above average bar food, but the location rounds out an enjoyable afternoon/evening.

Thursday nights at Puckett's are always a hit. So much talent in a fun atmosphere. Good food cold beer amazing music.
