DO NOT BOOK HERE! The room cleanliness and condition was well below what would be expected if any hotel. The room would not cool to comfortable temperature. The towels had large brown stains on them. Those that's didn't have large brown stains had yellow discolored places. The sheets in one bed had pen marks all over and yellow stains. The room generally smelled bad and felt dirty, there was small debris on the carpet. The curtains had mold and stains. The outlets at the sink didn't work. There was an exposed outlet with 3 cords plugged into it in a "surge protector" along with a tv cable in the middle of the room/wall leaving open plugs and wires accessible to our children. We complained and ended up leaving the night before we were supposed to and drove all night to get home to avoid another night in this room. The front desk receptionist was apologetic but pretty unmoved by our complaints.

Staff was friendly and professional. Breakfast items were well prepared and available. However, other overnight guests were loud and boisterous very late into the night.

The Opelika location does not meet Quality Inn standards. We certainly didn't get our money's worth. For what we received we should have stayed in a 1 star hotel. The rooms were dated, they felt damp, the refrigerator was rusted out on the bottom, the toilet shifted everytime you sat down, the tiles over the tub were obviously haphazardly repaired with grout everywhere, the grout was dirty, curtains didn't provide coverage, privacy or room darkening, which is important since it sits right behind a service station. The staff isn't friendly, there was an odor in the entry way and in the lobby. The grounds were unkempt.

My wife's car started overheating in the drive thru of McDonalds next door to the Quality Inn. She pulled her car into the lot of the hotel to call for a tow truck to pick it up. She was with my 9yr old daughter and 17 month old son. It was over 98 degrees that day and my family was burning up. When she asked if my children and herself could wait in the lobby till help arrived, SHE WAS TOLD NO!!! She couldn't remember the woman's name but said she was a hateful and mean black woman who was more worried about texting on her cell phone than to help out a stranded woman with a young child and an infant. I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel to anybody!! If they won't allow a family in distress temporary shelter, they shouldn't be in the hospitality business PERIOD!! SHAME ON THEM AND THE PEOPLE THEY EMPLOY!!!!

Room was clean. Air conditioner was a little loud had to turn tv way up to hear it. Tub could have been bigger but over all it was a nice clean room. Bed was very comfortable shower was nice. The lady behind counter when we checked in was really nice and very helpful. War Eagle
