A great place with great atmosphere and great food. Nice people. Everything on the menu is fantastic with meticulous attention to detail  (not art on your plate, just delicious thoughtfully prepared food). Hard to choose just one item for your meal - pick several and share. Prices seem to be right in line with any other place in the area. Plan on spending at least an hour here for a meal - good food takes time.  A great destination anytime I am in the area, and a great excuse to go when I am not. Located in one of the most beautiful places on the Pacific Coast.

Great foodie spot in the quaint costal town of Elk... serving local beer, great menu of items designed and prepared by owner, Queenie! There is a nice deck out front for warm days too... we went 3 times the week we were nearby!

The wait was over an hour after we ordered! We had to go to the counter to get coffee refills. Toilet was out of order. Wait staff told me to go to the outhouse. It was locked, they never offered the key. I walked across the way to use the outhouse in the park. Food was ok, but the staff wasn't as welcoming as what I'm used to. I've waited on tables too.

My boyfriend and I used to do the hippie traveling thing and we came in for a cup of coffee, about two years ago or so, and the lady gave us a scone. We were dirty and nasty and stinky. Still got treated with respect. 

It is still the best scone I have ever had. This place stuck in my mind over the years, finally thought to write about it.

Queenie is not just a great cook, she is a food artist! Food was delicious, as always, and we felt at home with the friendliest staff! Always looking forward to trying something new, fresh, local and organic. Cappuccino was made just right too! 5 stars!
