Great place with friendly staff. Dr. Roe helped me recover from an abusive relationship and has helped me get onto the positive life path that I am now. I feel I owe a lot more that just the payments I made and a good review to this company. Thanks!

Dr Ryan Coon is unqualified to work with or diagnose ADD women and girls. He admits he has not read any books or done any research on the subject. His definition of ADD/ADHD is narrowed to nine simple questions, that primarily relate to a 12-year-old boy.

There are always going to be different personalities in a group of people, but all I can describe is what I've experienced. From the moment I first talked to Amber in intake, I started to feel hopeful that I found the right place. To say that she went above and beyond is an understatement. She is the friendliest person I have encountered at Rainier Associates, and probably one of the friendliest people I have encountered in my life in the past few months. ; ) She just really cares and wants to help. I knew that if things didn't work out with one doctor, she would help place me with another one. I just felt like someone was really trying to help me - finally. She gave me hope. My doctor, Marsha Cain, is a bit more no nonsense, but she cares – she cares about how your medications are working together; she cares about how your life in general is going; she cares enough to make sure that you agree with the summary she's writing down. She printed out a ton of information on my medication conflicts on my first visit & has urged me to get a therapist for trauma when I had been procrastinating. I have never counted all the diplomas/awards on her wall, but I think it's safe to assume that she knows her stuff! She does type a fair amount during appointments - which was a little off putting at first, but I leave even a 15 to 20 minute appointment feeling like she's heard me, and I've learned from her. Thus far, she has even given me things to do between appointments and I love that. She seems very strong in her decisions, but is compassionate enough to listen to your strong feelings & consider them & work with you. The receptionist has always been perfectly polite and nice, and the woman who handles the billing has *really* gone out of her way to help me. It's hard to read so many negative reviews. I would say that if people have a problem with their doctor, talk to the people in intake – they're willing to work with you and may try to find someone else for you. So far, it's been my experience that the people at Rainier Associates really do care. I'm sure there are many clients, for whom the negative reviews would not be an accurate representation of their experience. It can just be a little difficult to opt to be transparent about views related to any kind of counseling - since posting review announces to the world that you've sought counseling. ; )

Dr. Thomas C Roe has treated me phenomenally. He treats me as a person, his energy creates a warm and safe environment free of judgement and gives you the impression that he enjoys what he does and loves to help people. He is very considerate of who I am and by that he gives me the impression of being culturally aware and respectful of all people. I've seen various doctors but he is crème de la crème. He is always very patient, professional and has a pulse (meaning he has a sense of humor which means a lot to a comedian like myself.) Honestly, overall, I look forward to our appointments because it's like "going on a treasure hunt" when we talk because he helps me uncover things in my life that have been buried for years which I assumed were never an issue and I end up discovering new parts of me, the good and the bad, the simple and the complex. I appreciate Dr. Roe highly and would recommend him to anyone...or thing that has a heartbeat!! So glad my last Dr. was booked and I couldn't see him because I ended up with one cool, compassionate and well educated psychologist!
