Joe's Hardware is an old-fashioned Family-owned Hardware Store in Monsey, New York since 1952.

Story

Ramapo Hardware has been in business since 1952 and run by the same family for the past 52 years. Our Grandfather Joe bought the business in 1963 and became a huge part of the community for many years. His dedication to excellent service and his pleasant personality helped shape the store to become what it is today and his impact on our customers' lives is a huge reason why we are successful today. We started working in the store as teenagers and grew up in the store with him so we make sure that we continue to run the business on the same principles and values that were important to him.

Before Joe bought Ramapo Hardware, he used to work in town as a local bicycle repair man and he was also an engineer in New York City before that. His knowledge, skills, and personality instantly made the business unlike any other Hardware Store. Joe was known around town as a special man and every customer loved dealing with him. He used to lend tools out to his customers free of charge and was always giving experienced advice to local homeowners.

He was the glue that held the Monsey community together for many years. Joe passed away in November of 2000 but his pleasant personality and customer service will never be forgotten. My sister Sandra and I (My name is also Joe) continue to honor this great man today by running the business and following the vision he had so many years ago.
