The location is clean and beautiful. The coffee is always warm and the hospitality is top notch. The rooms are excellent and the front desk staff always makes me feel like family. When I have to leave my house for any kind of travel I love to feel like I'm with family. The restraint is also great and had reasonable prices.

This was my second time staying at the Red Lion in Kennewick and I have been very satisfied both times. During our previous stay, the hotel was undergoing a renovation which now appears to be complete. The hotel's restaurant was also renovated and has a very modern and clean feel to it. We had the breakfast buffet, which for $5 per person was a good deal, as the food was very good (especially so for a hotel breakfast spread). I especially enjoyed that the eggs were real, and the fruit salad was fresh and delicious. The room was comfortable and enough for me, my wife, and our small dog (it's nice that they are pet friendly too). Overall, we will stay again if our path brings us through there again.

Location is great - lots of places to eat and shop a walking distance away. Rooms decor and furniture could use an upgrade though; dated. Also they do not have a restaurant any longer so breakfast is out of the question. They do have a bar/lounge. Room rates were great but maybe this is just to stay competitive - had a good stay but one just gets an overall feeling that the hotel is struggling.

The facility was nice and rooms accommodating. The staff experience, however, was not ideal or even acceptable. When I went to check in, no one was at the desk. I waited and waited, walked around looking for them assisting someone else. Not a soul. Then I decided to call and let the phone ring indefinitely. After several minutes of the phone ringing, a young lady came from the back room. She said her desk person had gone to the restroom. It was 3:15 in the heart of registration for new guests. Later, when I came back to actually enter my room, I was starving, and looked endlessly for that little book included in rentals to see if there was room service or who delivered. No guide whatsoever, so I called the front desk. I was put on an indefinite hold and eventually gave up and walked downstairs to the bar. Again, long wait to be greeted and when I explained what I would like to order (a drink to take to my room) the attendant disappeared and didn't return for several minutes. I finally gave up again and began walking back to my room, when I crossed paths with the woman who had gone for the bottle of wine in storage somewhere. Never did she communicate that she needed to leave the bar to get my request. Fast forward to checkout. Same exact experience. Waited at the desk at 11:00 AM (the standard checkout time) and no one was there. I was not the only one waiting. Eventually, a young lady came to the desk, and when I mentioned my dissatisfaction with the customer service, she told me she is in training, they are short staffed and she had no one to cover when she went to the bathroom. I inquired about the manager and she gave me a phone number for the GM Katie Muller. Katie should have been IN HER HOTEL helping that young girl with the many people waiting to check out. Poorly managed. Nice enough employees when they get to you, but no one's got time for that.

I stayed with Red Lion in another location, however, I made the reservation on accident at this location. Not only was I treated with kindness and understanding (by the front desk employees as well as the general manager) but the staff made sure that MY mistake wouldn't cost me financially. I will definitely stay here in the future as being treated like family means everything to me. On a side note, the Red Lion I did stay at was clean, well maintained and the staff were friendly as well. The red lion brand is a brand that welcomes you to your "home away from home."
