Due to this being the flag-ship REI of all REI's, it's little wonder how truly incredible the inside of this massive store is laid out.
The staff are very helpful & do not run away from you when you approach them with a question. The exciting interior design presents itself as a wilderness Disneyland for adventurous folks from all walks of life.
The only con I have is that the bathrooms are so freaking far away from the entrance; in a city with a homeless population as horrid as Seattle's, this design makes a whole lot of sense.
If you haven't checked out this REI yet do so, you'll be happy that you did.

Is it weird that I wanna love here? This store has an amazing selection. I couldn’t believe it. Every time i go I’m amazed and I spend way to long in here. It’s a trip i always look forward to

I parked at the REI and tried to get my car after hours. The company said they can't send anyone, as the guy with the keys is out of the area. 
Edit: after about 5 calls and being hung up on 3,  a driver comes out and I leave with my car. So it isn't all terrible

Brief: Do not shop here for winter sports.their selection is limited and there associates are only focused on sales.
Verbose: I gave this REI a shot when I was just getting into winter sports. I was a college student at the time so I was vocally somewhat price concious. This did not stop the sales associate from pushing me the most expensive products out of a very, and my ultimate decision was met with ridicule. This really surprised me so I asked to speak with a manager. The manager started by invading my space then supported the employees ridicule. I then contacted corporate and got no response. This was handled extremely poorly.

Any store that has its own mountain bike trail is going to be good. Tack on the REI spirit to every inch of this warehouse size building and you have a very cool place. Just wish prices were a little lower, but you get quality or your money back.
