Lines are long at times. The staff are mostly friendly and extremely helpful.
The staff really do help out especially if you moved from out of state to Rhode Island.
They make the transition less hectic (better than other states that I had experienced).

Absolutely a miserable HORRIBLE place!!!
And no, it's not an "off day" it ALWAYS is.

Rude rude RUDE nasty place and looks like a food stamp line.

Attention military vets.
Don't bother using the special line with a military ID.

You'll be tossed out of line as if you were caught shoplifting as I was.

Disabled on SSDI?  Don't bother with the special line either...
You need a parking disability placard for use of that line.
Got shrapnel in your back and a bullet in your leg and have trouble standing in long lines?
Get ready to suck it up!

who put down 20 minutes... maybe they got arrested.. and skipped the wait..
this is exactly one of those third world countries trump referred to as s hole places.. there is no way 400-600 cars are being purchased and registered on a daily basis.. not in this state.. and definitely not under Gina's economic growth plan - that was sarcasm.. unless she and Jorge are giving away cars for free with WIC and EBT cards.. 
someone needs to torture these state employees to the same level as we - the people - who pay them.. 
obviously any skills were not part of the hiring regiment..

This place is a terrible. People who works in this place is rude, unprofessional and very mean specific with other races. Mostly in here is blacks and they think they can do everything treating everyone how piece of s****.  I think everyone in this place get pay every hours they work. Not one in here is working for free. If they are not happy of doing this job? My question is! Why they do get out and let the opportunity to other professionals people to this job better. But sadly this staff is conect with same kind of people unprofessional without education. At least they should try to smile with the customer. Every time I get in to this place I feel a very bad vibe.

Horrible. I got there mid week as suggested on the website, printed my forms and had all my paper work ready as instructed on the website prior to going, I spent 30 minutes to get a ticket and to wait another 2 hours for service !!!! It's a poor use of space there are more places to sit and wait than work areas to handle customer service. It's a waste of resources to have employees handing out tickets when there are automated ways of handling ticket distribution. This state complains about high unemployment rates well there is a desperate need for more employees at this DMV.
