The facility is nice, it's just a shame the staff are so rude. We mistakingly parked our pop up on the grass, so they told us to move, and we agreed, but they called the park ranger on us anyway! By the time he arrived we had already moved the camper and re-popped, but he made us take it down and move again just to appease them because we were NEAR the grass, not even on it! After over an hour of setting up 3x, our trip was nearly ruined. My 4 year old was scared to go on the grass after that. And what's worse, at least 2 other campers had vehicles/trailers directly on the grass without a word said to them! We are a very small family of 4, that includes a 4 and 1 year old, not the partying or trouble making type, and have never had issues with any other camp grounds we’ve used, but we're treated poorly.

Not quite as good as Bunker Hills Regional Park, but really nice amenities.

Had a great time at the campground. We were surprised to find out they had an open mic that night around a campfire by the beach. Besides the fun we had planned it was nice to hear some songs, stories and jokes. The only issue I had was the noise around 4 or 5am, it sounded like an engine running loudly. It was the start of duck hunting so it may have been related to that.

This is a really beautiful campground! The site are large and spaced so far apart that in a lot of cases you couldn't see any other sites. Surrounded by trees and vegetation. We had two complaints, however. #1 - the camping fee does not include a $5.00 per car entry pass, costing us an additional $10.00 for our truck, which was pulling our trailer. This was not celarly defined on the website. Yes, they mention a $5 fee for cars, but we thought that meant if you had a car come into to visit you, NOT the cost for the truck pulling the trailer! #2 - the young man who checked us in was not friendly at all. He was abrupt to the point of being rude. He did not offer us a map or show us how to get to our site; I had to ask for one. He shouldn't be on a front desk where customer service is everything. I won't mention his name here, but if anyone from the Park system is following up on this, please contact me.
