Great place to start you day. First stop will guarantee you a seat. Has parking nearby. This place is a little dirty.

Dangerous.  No bart police.  Mayor gets attacked.  Horrible!  But i have to write that it is a great asset for the city, & mostly it is safe.  I rode BART hundreds of times to / from this station to go to work.  The actual trains are  dangerous with the riders no matter where you are going & no matter what stop you get on or off.  bart needs cops always on the trains.  Mostly they are no where to be found.

Terminus station for BART, with connections to Amtrak. Safe in daylight hours, but can be rough after dark. Nice station, never too busy, just keep your head up :)

I've read the 'horror' stories, but I've only taken it since the new renovations. I've never had a problem, and it actually looks nice with the new sign. I also haven't seen any panhandlers... The streets leading up to it (with the street lights ) are pleasant enough.

With the latest renovation there is better lighting & the new pathway construction seems like it'll be a great addition. I've been using this station for 3+ years and have never had any sort of issue.
