Right in the heart of Downtown Berkeley. It doesn’t get any more convenient than this. 15 minutes to downtown Oakland and 30 minutes to downtown San Francisco from here. Station is generally clean, especially when compared to surrounding neighborhood.

This outdated Bart station is okay. It is currently undergoing some construction which will renovate the station. It will look a lot nicer in a few months. Bart trains run every 6-7 minutes. Check the schedule before you arrive.

There's a lot if building a and the occasional drama with people hanging out, but we'll lit and it's clean ish.

I thought hey the Berkeley station was nice. Everything we needed was within walking distance of the station and it was easily accessible- there was little difficulty getting around here in comparison to the other stations.

While it's wonderful to access movie theaters, Indian and other food, and a couple of diehard independent book stores, I remember a time of no public restrooms and great crowds after 3:30 pm or so.  Very close to Berkeley City College, where they have great art classes!  Live figure drawing, etc.
