Rio hair studio was a place I found by just researching places to get a good cut around town. I live at the beach and wanted a place near work as it is a little more convenient.   Rio has been a pleasant surprise for me as I have been getting my hair cut by Jessica Brooks for about a year now (wow time flies). The presentation of the business is well maintained and very professional. Ambiance is pleasant even if you have to wait an extra minute. Margo is always quick to offer a glass of water or beverage, which is appreciated even though I rarely take her up on it. Everyone is mostly smiling and open for conversation, I enjoy visiting Rio. Thank you ladies and I believe the two gentlemen for all of your hard work.

If you enjoy poor customer service, snobby receptionist, a snobby manager, and snobby hairdressers then Rio hair is for you. There is in a flat-out complete discontent with male customers. This place does not care about male clientele. They want you to bring in a picture of what your desired hair Style is.......  and if you don't bring in the picture and you leave looking like a mangled giraffe, then it's not the stylist fault. Please,  men I implore you to go somewhere else. You better bring in a picture of the cut you want or you might end up looking like the Walter White without the Hat.

So now that I’ve been a client at Rio for 3 years I feel like I should update my review... Everything was great at first...  until it became like an assembly line. They double sometimes triple book Laura.. There’s absolutely nothing personal about your experience.(even-though Laura is great at what she does— she definitely does great hair clearly that’s why I’ve been committed to just her.. I’m not bashing that for the people who keep commenting). They get you in, out, and take your money and on days like today when I’ve had an appointment booked for 1 month for color correction (2hrs) and a terrible wreck happens going over the Buckman that has traffic at a stand still for over an hour.. (which I sent pics via Facebook and even called to let them know) if it wasn’t for that I had every intention on being 20 minutes early because I live so far away.  I was completely rejected services for a 2 hr color correction appointment which I would have only been no more than 30 minutes late for, and wouldn’t have even taken that long. I would have got there and waited for her for 20 minutes anyways.. I even offered to pay $200 extra for something that happened that was completely out of my control. I’m a business owner myself so I usually schedule on Saturday’s only... but today (the day before my flight leaves) was the only thing she had available when I booked a month ago so I was thinking great it will look amazing for my trip. Big shocker to me I was completely rejected... they will not even try to work me in.. after being a client for THREE years.. not even a care in the world. Now I’m panicking trying to find someone hours before our flight leaves or I’m stuck with yellow hair she knew about a month ago to go to Vegas for my husbands birthday. Via messages I’ve sent her a month ago I have saved. That she never replies back too! And she ignores every referral I’ve sent her. Pics of that too. Such a disappointment :(

Love this place! We've( Laura and I)came along way in a year, and I'm so happy to be able to say in confidence she's literally the best! I will definitely keep my referrals coming! Keep up the good work!

I usually leave a salon feeling okay but I was excited after this appointment at Rio. I (almost) wanted to go home and put on some make up to jazz up my new cut.

The workers were so friendly! Even though I didn't have an appointment they took me. I had to wait less than 5 minutes. Love my haircut. Also I recommend setting an appointment. They are usually busy.
