This place was a breath of fresh air.  The staff was very polite.  I was seated at my appointment time. Very little wait time between each stage of my treatment. Loved it! Lisa did an awesome job cutting my hair.

I came in for a corrective relaxer and left loving the results. A week later I wash my hair at home to see that their corrective didn't take. Called and they said they weren't responsible but I could come in and they'd take a look. Went back to the salon and they continued to say that they weren't responsible for the unprocessed portions of my hair. They told me for them to fix it I would have to come back in and pay for another corrective relaxer. Then they were saying that they only charged me for a retouch. I explained to them that wasn't what I came in for, I came in for a corrective. I only paid what they asked me to. I was given a range of $80-110 and they charged me $80. They decided that, not me right. I shouldn't have to repay because they didn't deliver when they were supposed to. Got to a point where said they would have me pay the difference between the virgin and retouch relaxer which is $30 BUT I'd have to come back and do it w/in a week and leave the salon w. wet hair and they wouldn't even blow dry it for me. If I wanted blow dry and style I would have to pay an additional $55. So $85, about the price that I had already paid before. I low-key thought about going back in but it doesn't make sense for me to in there for that and then have to go somewhere else to finish the process. Especially since they already messed it up. once. Keep in mind, that the same day I needed to.come in I was planning on taking pictures, and I have my pinning ceremony and graduation w. in the next two days. Spoke to the manager and owner, none of them cared and continued to say it wasn't their fault. Chose this salon because I did research and everything seemed legit, they seemed to actually care about making your hair healthy, meeting the client's needs, but this is just sooo wrong to me. You make a mistake, you fix it right?? Well not them. The owner even said that the stylist did me a favor because she was trying not to over process my hair. FAVOR WHERE. A favor would be you fixing my hair and giving me what I already paid for. Anywho, never going back there.

Lauren is AMAZING! My experience was great doing the big chop. I would recommend anyone to go there. She made me feel comfortable with my new style and gave me new tips to style it.

Horrible customer service. Not specific about which deep conditioning is included and which is extra.... worked on 2 other girls while I had to sit back and wait for over 40 mins... also saw her texting.... asked her to blow dry my hair and was told she's a "high end" stylist and doesn't do that. First and last time here and I will never recommend to anyone!

I LOVE Pakela and Salon ^ PK! I have been going to this salon since I moved to Jacksonville in November 2012. I can honestly tell you that every stylist is wonderful! They are warm,  friendly, incredibly professional, and the conversation is always intellectually stimulating.  PAKELA is into educating you about your hair and really doing what is going to give you the healthiest outcome and style for your specific hair type.  This is NOT a cookie cutter salon with stylists that just want to chop and get your money. 

I feel like Pekela is an artist and my hair is her canvass! When I come in, she is always on point. She always creates a spectacular style and color on my hair. When I get out of her chair I am ALWAYS beyond thrilled with her color technique and hairstyle. People are always giving me compliments about my color and hairstyles.

Pakela is a phenomenal Master Hair Stylist who is talented off the charts, and is one of the most awesome people I have EVER met! I never leave reviews but if I could give her and Salon  ^ PK 10 stars I would.
