I had such a great stay here. The room was so clean and the owner and his family were very sweet and welcoming. Along with the maintenance man who fixed any issue very quickly. I would gladly stay here again.

Stayed here for the Labor Day Weekend...Room was clean. Fresh painted and bathroom was redone nicely. My room was to small for 2 people...way to small...so small that when I was sitting on the bed I could open the door to outside. It could be good for  a single person.  Staff were nice,  The door has an blind built into the door between 2 glass panes. This does not filter out the daylight or the sun...and with the bed being right next to the door...it's to bright.  I am not to happy with the size of the room...but all in all it was just an OK place...nothing special.  Price was good...WiFi could use an upgrade...i had to reconnect many many many times a day. WiFi sucked.

Edited on 10/3/17 I am well into my stay now here and would like my review to properly reflect that. When i checked in the lobby was fantastic it was very nice clean and reminded me of what i have come to expect from the big hotel chains. When I got to my room i was surprised to the size and seeing a full size refrigerator and a nice studio size stove oven combo. The bathroom has some minor issues with the sink other wise it was extremly clean and unlike most of the other motels in this area there is no mold or mildew smell. The staff are friendly the owners are great the had a birthday party for thier daughter and invited my son to attend and he had a blast. Over all minus how dated my room is and it would be nicer if the front room had a couch with a pull out bed instead, i would highly recomend this motel to anyone looking to stay short or long term in this area.

Outdated, not the cleanest, but sheets and pillows clean. Kitchen amenities and bathroom curtains (yucky) need better cleaning. Strong Wi-Fi signal.

If you are visiting form Montreal and need a budget-friendly place to stay, Rip Van Winkle is a good choice. Don't recommend it for families unless you are taking the individual cabins. Some residents incredibly shady, but staff is nice and available all the time.

The owners are great and friendly!! And really doing great work with the place. I stayed in a couple different rooms most had hard wood flooring.
