Riverhorse on Main is among an elite list of top restaurants in the nation and is one of the oldest and most distinguished restaurants in Park City.
Since its opening on New Year’s Eve, 1987, The Riverhorse has been highly regarded by both restaurant critics and the dining public. In 1995, the Riverhorse became the first restaurant in Utah to receive the DiRōNA Award. This very prestigious honor, dedicated to “excellence in dining,” was bestowed that year on only 223 restaurants inl of North America. The Riverhorse has maintained this distinguished honor each year since, including 2012.
On January 16th, 2000 the Riverhorse received the ultimate honor in the hospitality industry, when it was again selected in 2012 for this by the Mobil Travel Guide as one of the top 108 restaurants in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The Riverhorse is the first restaurant in Utah to ever receive this highly coveted award and the only restaurant in the state to ever be honored with both the DiRōNA Award and the Mobil Four Star Award.
The Mobil 4 Star Recognition evolved into the Forbes 4 Star Recognition in 2010. Nevertheless; the Riverhorse on Main was again selected for this prestigious recognition in the world wide restaurant industry. The Riverhorse continues to pave the way as a pioneer for excellence in fine dining and outstanding service in the state of Utah.
