Our Long-Term Acute-Care Hospital has been serving the Central Louisiana area for over a decade. In 2007, our local group of owners and management acquired the facility and established Riverside Hospital as the premier Long-Term Acute-Care Hospital in Central Louisiana. Ownership and management have over a combined century of experience in many diverse fields of healthcare. These areas include the operation of long-term care facilities, rehabilitation hospitals, long-term acute-care hospitals, psychiatric hospitals, and hospice.

Because of the experience in these diverse sets of healthcare models, our team has a unique perspective on what a patient’s wants and needs may be, when illnesses occur. We understand the entire story behind a patient’s transition through the healthcare system. Being located within Rapides Regional Medical Center makes us uniquely positioned to give you or your loved one the hometown care you deserve.

Riverside Hospital is a 28-bed facility licensed by the state of Louisiana and accredited by The Joint Commission. Our hospital participates in Medicare, Medicaid and various commercial insurance programs. Our staff includes over 100 physicians with a variety of specialties, certified wound care nurses and physicians, Physical, Speech, and Occupational Therapist and a dedicated team of nurses with a variety of specialties.
