They did a great job. Well worth going out of our way for. Even met the actual "ROB"! Who seems to be there on a regular basis. They will not screw you around. They will tell you what you what's wrong for no price! Plus they have a comfortable waiting room with a big t.v. and ☕. Or if you ask nice, one of the workers would probably run you up to McDonald's if you're gonna be there awhile. I live in Gresham. But we still go out to 212 just for good service! THANKS ROB!

The guys at Rob's are technically proficient, friendly and very accommodating. They did a great job of getting us exactly what we'd asked for in the time we had available. The work quoted for our future service need was reasonably priced and I will be going back to them to get it done. Great job! Keep up the good work :-)

Overcharge. Cannot diagnose problems. Poor customer service. Engine still makes noise and they haven't provided me with a detailed cost break-down after 12+ days. I took my car there as my engine was squeaking. They inspected it and said I need a new timing belt. They also found a few more items that needed replacing on my car. They provided a parts and labor quote. I shopped around and found the prices they initially offered were reasonable (relative to others), so I had them make the replacements. While they were fixing it, however, they found more items that could use improvement and, based on the previous quotes, I trusted them and had them make those fixes. Fast forward and I took my final parts/labor bill to other auto-shops and they were quoting me $1000 less for labor. I called and asked them about this and they said they would provide a justification for the differential. I even provided them another shop's quote. It has now been over 12 days and they still haven't provided a justification. They stated they were going to send a revised bill to me that gives an even more detailed breakdown of the labor and that they were mistaken in not including these additional labor items earlier. (This already strikes me as deeply troubling.) I've called them multiple times since and each time they promise they'll have it to me by the end of the day. I caution customers not to go here for expensive repairs. For items such as oil changes I am sure Rob's is fine. If you do need expensive work done on your car, I would encourage you to shop around for quotes -- even looking at repair pal -- and ask for an as detailed breakdown for parts and labor as possible. If they find more additional items to fix while working on your car, don't have them do it. I notice a ton of positive reviews for this place. To customers who are looking at those, look at the content of the review. I see several that said they didn't price shop and some don't even give a written review. Update to response from owner: I trusted the over-the-phone quotes as you already had my car and it would've been harder to shop at that point as work was already being done on my car. Lesson learned. They promise to take care of the squeaking free of charge, but given my experience I will not have them work on my car ever again. It took 15 days to hear back from you all. Why the delay? I contacted you each day and I kept hearing "You will hear from us today," but it never came. John only responded to an email once after day 10 or so; and that was calling each day asking for a response. I will admit he did text once wanting to talk, but I said that evening wouldn't work for me. Again, this was after 15 days of getting no response. It wasn't until a direct contact with the owner via email that I got a response. You all had my email 15 days prior. I contacted three other places for quotes and all were ~$1000 cheaper with labor. Does this mean each of those three places were providing the wrong fees? Further, all three of these places have been in business for a while with charging those fees. The place that provided me a paper copy was a place I have done business with in the past and quite reliable. (I would've gone with them, but they are now too far from where I live.) To sum it all up on the quote hunting: One of the places I got a verbal estimate actually laughed when I told him the price I paid for the work done. I would also like to add that I see this firm aggressively advertising via mailers with discounts on work and their program of getting discounts on work with the more work you have done. Everybody, I believe if you price shop, you will find other places to be less expensive -- and of similar quality -- than after the mailer discounts from Rob's Automotive.

My '94 Suburban had been to the dealership twice to get the front right door to work correctly. The original complain was that the door shut hard. When I went to pick up my 'repaired' truck, the door would not latch at all. Not fun driving home holding the door closed. After another visit, and another week at the dealership, if would close and latch, but not always unlatch. Rob's is much closer to my home, and it was obvious that the dealership had no clue. I took a chance on this, to me, unknown shop. I'm glad that I did. The problem is now fixed after only one day (well, two but only because the part they ordered was as broken as the one on the vehicle. Can't blame them for that.) And when the next day I had a question about the repair, they were most happy to explain what was going on (my mistake, actually). You'll be happy with the attention and competency of these folks. And I have a new service shop. At 350K miles, I expect I'll be seeing them often.

This place takes pride for being efficient and thorough. They even have an incentive program. They will squeeze you in, and try to be quick at evaluating the problem. Good customer service.
