Me and my wife absolutely love this place. Fresh seafood and lots more. We stop in on Fridays for their Icelandic cod fish sandwich. Top notch. Friendly staff as well. Alot of other options are available. I had the soft shell crab sandwich last time. There's seating available upstairs to enjoy or can be packaged for takeout.

Best chowder and the largest fishcod sandwich I've ever had. Highly recommended  by many people. It's a great looking fish market and more. A fish sandwich,  small chowder, and a small coke, under $13.

Hidden gem to grab a lunch! Hot fish sandwiches are incredible. Lobster soup is great too. Locals eat here - it means a lot. They live up to their mission.

Just met the famous sushi chef Andy at Wholey's and now eating his freshly prepared salmon and eel nigiri.  SO delicious!  Happy 38 years, Andy!

Best Cod sandwich ever, hot big fresh, they have fresh squeezed orange juice and they carry head cheese cold cuts. They also have jumbo lobster tails. The biggest lobster tails I have ever seen in my life.

Great place to shop for fresh seafood meat and other household staples.  But also a GREAT place for seafood!  Andy is a Pittsburgh icon his sushi is extremely fresh and mouth wateringly delicious!!!  If you like seafood if you like fresh cuts of beef fresh vegetables and seasonings ....IF YOU LIKE SUSHI .....and you are in Pittsburgh PA....I highly recommend you visit Robert Wholey on Penn Avenue in The Strip District. I'm so glad that I found this awesome company!!  In Port Saint Lucie, FL, I can't find ocean perch....anywhere!  I ordered 6 pounds from this company, received it in 2 days, and the fish was still frozen...in Florida.  I fried a few up today, and wow, just great quality.  I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Whenever someone in Pittsburgh needs some kind of high quality fish, I think that Robert Wholey and Co. Inc. is the first place that they would think of. This company has been around this area for 112 years as of the day of this review. They have been around the Pittsburgh area for a long time. Though they are known for their kinds of Meat, Poultry, and Fish products, they have a lot more. It even has a model train, a bronze pig, and many different animatronics. They also have a whole restaurant of its own, with many different seafood related food. They have things ranging from a Crab Burger, to a Macaroni and Cheese made with Lobster. I highly recommend Robert Wholey's market for you to visit.

Amazing Everything!  Owners still very active, saw we had kids and let them pet a lobster! Surprisingly the best produce in the strip and everyone already knows the very best seafood in the entire state!

We stopped to eat lunch upstairs,  breaded fried cod sandwiches.  Delicious!! Then, I purchased fresh salmon filets and salmon steaks.  Ww missed the Scottish salmon, our favorite. They ran out.  Next time,  I'll get Andy's fresh sushi, made on the premise. He's very creative.  Fresh, fresh, fresh.
