This is one of Pittsburgh's hidden gems in the city! Amazing place! Amazing service! Friendly EVERY SINGLE TIME! Never a disappointing experience here yet! The food is fresh all the time. Organic products are sold here. Just buy 1 for a treat. You will fall in love with them at first taste like I did. Amazing selection. Deli, hot foods, foods to go, coffee .... you name it, they have it. If you like, there is a wine selection and room in the back. I have never gone back there. I prefer to experience life sober. : There are multiple small tables now on the floor, which create a wider appearance, and make it a great place to go for individuals. The store is expanded. And redeveloping itself. The owners are fabulous and friendly. A real treat to go here! They are still struggling to survive post-pandemic, so please shop here to keep this Pittsburgh gem alive and well.
The day I came here was really my last day for Breakfast stops. I came here thinking oh I'll probably just get some bagel or quick light sandwich and on my way, nope, different experience. I walk in, I didn't notice that I was also a small grocery store. Was greeted by a friendly guy who was doing everything, I grab myself a Cuban sandwich toasted. Once it was finished, I open a box and took a bite out the sandwich. That is one good sandwich, never think a sandwich would ever get this good! The cheese was amazing, the meats was a lot but it didn't feel heavy which I was surprised. This may come as a surprise but if I ever return here, I'm getting something else from here again!
Love this store! Perfect spot for a quick bite on the run, deli is great, prepared foods, wine barand they carry local products. Two Ugly Mugs Salsa is my favorite!
Editing due to owner response: while I understand the pandemic has taken it's toll, this still used to be a place I could walk to and pick up a bunch of quality dry goods, dairy free milk, meat alternatives, etc, and now it is not. I did not know produce was delivered at 10:30, that makes sense. I remember when this store used to have a bunch of items and you could stop quick for things you needed. I went in at 10 on a Thursday and this place was completely barren. There was almost nothing on the shelves or in the fridge. Came to try and get a few things and just walked out. Thought they might at least have almond milk, but they only had a sweetened version. Their meal station also looked nearly empty; store is not what it used to be.
I had Market Street Grocery cater my bridal shower at Rodef Shalom, and pretty much all of my guests made a point of telling me it was the best brunch they ever had. The French toast was fantastic, as well as the veggie frittata & sausage. I fully intend on choosing them again to cater my rehearsal dinner.
I absolutely love this little market tucked away in Market Square. They have healthy food, fresh vegetables, as well as hot deli food. The salmon is fantastic. There is a quaint little wine bar attached where you can sit and order appetizers and wine and even get bottles of wine to go. Great wine selection. The staff is always, and I mean always so friendly and professional. There is even a little sweet shop in the corner!
A cool selection of gourmet foods and groceries with an awesome array of prepared foods for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There's always something new. The coffee bar is adorable and tasty and Megan who works there is delightful!. The wine bar in the back is comfortable and classy - this place provides a bit of small-town-charm amid the city.
Friendly staff, good atmosphere, very nice, friendly and helpful staff; oh, did I mention THE COFFEE & THE FOOD! Best breakfast. WONderful coffee. Very diverse and tasty menu. Open at 7 a.m. weekdays, so we get a good, hot meal to start the crazy work day, & a nice wine & spirits bar WITH GREAT FOOD to wind down. Can't aak for more!
Tried this place around noon and was surprised to see they didn’t serve lunch, but definitely not disappointed by breakfast. I know it’s pretty hard to mess up breakfast, but on a large scale it can dicey. The eggs were just the way I like it with good seasoning and some density, the potatoes were well cooked with a nice bite maybe a little too salty, and the bacon was actually thick-cut and crispy. I will definitely go back for dinner sometime, but if there’s still breakfast available I might have to grab a little of that too.
The best new place in the city! Been going here forever! Yes, some things are pricy, but for the most part, their local produce and meats are phenomenal, and reasonably priced. I live downtown and this was a godsend!!! And BTW. Everyone who works there is so amazing! Keep it up loves, just start carrying more cheese, lol
