I booked this hotel due to a last minute college event in the city. I needed cheap lodging. THEN I read reviews and was very nervous about my son and I staying there. What a pleasant surprise! Yes, it has outdated furniture and chipped woodwork. It also has huge rooms, comfortable beds, funky bathroom is clean, and has the best pool I've seen in several hotels! The pool is Olympic in length and has the cleanest, great temperature water. The tile could be scrubbed more but it was great to swim in. We read that it was noisy, but didn't hear anything all night. The breakfast was typical continental - but included yogurt and boiled eggs too. We were greeted pleasantly the night we came in and the two remembered details about us and wished us well with our particular activities when we left. We were very pleased.

Horribly filthy hotel. I was a pizza delivery driver in the area, so I never actually stayed there, but I have definitely been there enough to know not to. First off, don't look at the pictures, they are very misleading. Pool almost always has feces in it. Rooms are dirty and extremely outdated. There are always bugs. Room numbering system is completely whack. Hotel smells awful. Half of the people that stay there, live there. Always police around, arresting someone. Big drug problems. Big prostitution problems. Seems to be the only place that draws the criminals in Eau Claire. Weird people hanging around. Avoid this hotel at all costs if you can. Only plus side is that the staff are nice, even though they are well understaffed.

If I could give less than a star, I would. The place was filthy, it looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. The pool room had dirty linens all over the tables and the hot tub was roped off, looked like a crime scene. Our room's carpet was dirty, the bottom of the doors all looked as if they were soaking in water (broken apart, chipping), the bathroom door didn't have a latch for the door to close and the cabinet doors were falling off and the bottom of the cabinet was knocked in and falling apart. Holes in the wall..... did I mention dirty? Thank GOD we only needed to stat one night. Please do yourself a favor and spend a little extra money and stay some place else. Sleeping in the car would probably have been better.

Very very very nice front desk staff! The room wasn't so nice (the website pics were a little misleading), sheets and pillowcases had many stains. The bathroom was very dated with part of the wall missing towards the floor. Sofa sleeper was comfy unlike a lot of other hotel pull-out beds. AC worked awesome too. Good place if you're on a lower budget and aren't too picky. Could use an update.

Great experience here! friendly, helpful staff & great clean rooms. Clean facility! fun for families & couples. respect from all! Great management!
