Had a very nice meal here a whilst in NYC last week. The guacamole was the best we've ever tasted and made fresh at the table. A little pricy but find me somewhere in New York that isn't! Friendly staff and lovely decor. Overall would definitely recommend.

Fast, tasty, and filling Mexican food! It was a perfect spot to warm up and enjoy some happy hour before heading back into the snowy city. Try the grilled fish tacos! Lots of dish options and it's all well-prepared! Service got a little slow for a while when I was there for no real reason - it wasn't crowded at the time - but it was still a great time with great friends and great food!

Crazy expensive and the food isn't so spectacular as to warrant the cost. You can get great Mexican food elsewhere for far less. It only makes sense to come here if you want (to pay out the nose for) the ambiance.

The tamarind margarita was delicious, but the food was sent back. I ended up eating the rice and beans and guacamole which was very overpriced. I was put off that the guacamole was served in the stone bowl and with a wooden spoon. I know it's traditional and adds to the ambiance but you can't properly clean them. The enchiladas were flavorless I tried the trio and none tasted like anything and none of the tinga spices. The meal was rushed and was asked to eat in 20 minutes even though I had a reservation. The only reason I gave 2 stars is the margarita.

I've been here many times. The interior is modern, but the food is so-so and the service is awful. I don't know why I thought it would be a good idea to schedule my birthday here. Two weeks before, I called to increase my reservation from 12 to 15. A few days before, I called to increase from 15 to 20. I was then told that they had made a mistake with the reservation and parties over 12 must do the prix fixe menu. It would be $65 per person for tacos and drinks, and that I had to make a 50% deposit then and there. So you expect me to get 20 people on board with a $65 dinner without even asking first? Give me a break. Minutes later, I made a reservation for 20 at Zio, which is around the corner, and they didn't give me any of this nonsense.
