Incredibly unique food. My friend came and got in line at 4 to get us a time for dinner. FYI- they don’t take reservations, first come first serve. But, they do text you when the table in front of you gets their check, and there’s so much to do in the area it’s not too bad. 
It feels very much like an exclusive club. Not somewhere I’d frequent (I’m more into convenience), but definitely a place for something special or unique.

A bit frenetic, but the atmosphere matches the bold mix of flavors, textures and regions quite well.  One surprising combination after another in each painstakingly crafted dish.  For all their "high-millennial" non-chalance, the staff  are dead serious about their work and fun to watch (definitely sit where you can see the kitchen).  Great value considering all that goes into a meal there.

The food and prep here will blow your mind! Sitting at the chef's counter is a must - it will make you appreciate the level of effort and detail that goes into the dishes.   So creative and unique!  The staff are wonderful too!  Best food and overall experience I've had in a long time, possibly ever!

This review may come off as a bit over the top, but I can honestly say that Rose's Luxury single-handedly set my bar for what I consider amazing food.  This was easily the best food and dining experience of my life to-date.  We tried nearly everything on the menu and each item had me shaking my head in disbelief of the shear joy it was bringing me.  Three hours later, my friends, my wife and I left Rose's with a new found appreciation for food and I have been chasing that feeling ever since.

Probably the best meal I've had in DC. Everything about this restaurant is wonderful! Sure it's a nice place, but it feels casual and clearly doesn't take itself too seriously (check out the artwork in the bathroom). It's a bit annoying that they don't take reservations so you have to stand outside, but it's more than worth it for the lovely atmosphere and incredible food. If your dining in a pair, ask to be seated at the chef's counter which overlooks the prep kitchen - it's amazing to watch all of the detail and care that goes into each and every dish!
