Had arranged to buy a used car as is. I asked if there were any mechanical issues with the engine or transmission was advised no everything was running good. I asked for them to bring it for a safety check at independent garage and they did(flag should have gone up when they told me they did no want to take it to the Volvo dealer). 
 
Deal was made over the phone as I am 500 km away. I was happy with the shape of the vehicle when I got there. 

Now for the bad we had to boost the vehicle and right away when it started you could hear a loud noise coming from the valves.

All this to say I wasted my time and money coming down for a vehicle that was not in good running condition and I should have been made aware of this as to no waste over 360$ for a vehicle I did not purchase due to the sales department not being honest about the condition of the engine.

Update

I attempted to contact the number that where provided also sent email to the general box and also to the person you told me to contact and no return call or response. As for the car running good I would say that it was not the vehicle sounded like an old school diesel with the valves by the drivers side making the most noise. All this to say that I would not recommend this dealership if buying a used car unless you go in person first to see and listen to the vehicle before spending any money

staff is very friendly. has a great "small town" dealer sort of feel, creating an atmosphere that is very comfortable. service has always been performed on time, and on budget, and would recommend the service department and the dealer to anyone

Rude personnel, I called regarding a service issue and they laughed at me on the phone. Great service guys.
It happened 2 hours ago. It is my understanding that this person's name is Rob or Roy Leggat. Brother of the owner. Then I talked to Scotty that did not know anything and tried to cover for him. If you are interested in contact me you have my number in file

at Roseland Motors i have found friendly staff, and i like the shuttle service to go train, and convenient hours. i have been pleased so far with the sales/service staff
