Story

Roy’s Furniture is a family owned and operated retail furniture business that is located in the heart of the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago. We first opened our doors in 1960, selling furniture, appliances and cans of paint in a small storefront on Lincoln Ave. It was a small startup business that soon outgrew its humble beginnings. In 1980, the second generation owners opened the new and larger Roy’s at 2455 N. Sheffield. It was here that we began selling high quality furniture at affordable prices, and how we came to be a retail staple in the Lincoln Park community. Roy’s Furniture grew to be a thriving business, and generations of families from the area have furnished their homes and their children’s homes at our store.

I came here looking for a couch and a coffee table. The employees at the store are welcoming without being pushy — a rarity at most furniture stores! Mark P. was very accommodating and left me to test out couches to my heart's content after showing me a few models. He was also knowledgeable about the products, answering my questions about whether the couches had kiln-dried hardwood frames and sinuous spring suspension. It did take months to get our furniture, so be prepared to wait. However, Mark was upfront about the wait, and the quality of the furniture is excellent for the price, so the wait was well worth it. Additionally, the customer service department is a pleasure to work with post-purchase. The coffee table that was delivered had cosmetic defects. Thomas coordinated the replacement process and ensured the replacement table was of the quality I expected. The process did take a while, but I was able to use the defective coffee table in the meantime. In short, I highly recommend Roy's for your furniture needs, and will be returning to Roy's in the future.

We were moving to a new place and needed new furniture. I had been in a couple times and each time never felt pushed to make a purchase right then. In my final trip, I came in knowing exactly what I wanted. I was in and out of the store, within 30 mins, purchasing two chairs, a coffee table, credenza and couch. I never felt pressured to purchase anything else. Jared was very helpful and the delivery was seamless! Roy's is fantastic!

We had a great experience from beginning to end. The quality of service was excellent and thanks to the attention we got we ended up with a sofa that we really love and fits well in our apartment. The fact that the sofa was reasonable priced is an added bonus.

My boyfriend and I could not be happier with our living room furniture from Roy's Furniture. We purchased a sofa, media center, coffee table, and end table. First, the delivery was easy and fast. Second, the quality of the furniture is amazing. Everyone who sees our living room is impressed with the furniture. Finally, the sales staff at Roys's was so helpful in helping us find the perfect pieces for us. They showed us all of the fabric options and colors. We also got to customize our own sofa and decorative pillows! Love it!

Shopping at Roy's was really enjoyable, the staff are attentive to your particular needs and there's no pressure you might feel at other stores. The Design Associates will spend as much time as you need to put together different variations and options, and they'll make great suggestions you wouldn't think of otherwise. Huge range of styles from furniture to light fixtures and decorative pieces. Delivery was right on time and the whole process was smooth. I'll definitely be returning the next time I'm in need.
