Terrible prices and even worse customer service. I've heard horror stories of some of things these guys have done to their customers.

This store has amazing birds. Juliette is so knowledgeable about all of them and truly puts her heart and soul into making each one a hand tame new member of your family. The store is kept very clean and has a comfortable seating area with beverages for you to visit your unweaned baby. You are getting a bird that was raised with love. I adore my birds I have from her and they surprise me everyday. If you think anything otherwise please go and see for yourself! It's an amazing place.

I purchased an Eclectus Parrot with this company through Juliette Malinish at $1,572.50. Her hatch date was 11/9/2015. We received the Parrot and her care instructions on 06/10/2016. On 12/04/16 we noticed that Scarlett was not her perky self. We immediately called the nearest (109 mile) emergency exotic pet veterinarian, who after explaining Scarlett's condition told us that it sounded like the bird was suffering from PTFE (Polytetraflouroethylene) poisoning and to bring her in immediately. We later learned, PTFE is a molecule that is emitted when all nonstick pots or pans are heated. We were not made aware of the fatal consequence to birds with exposure to PTFE when consulting with Juliette or with care and cautionary instructions recieved with the bird. If we had, we would have made the necessary accommodations or would not have purchased the bird, because it wouldn't have been an ideal setting for the bird . After researching this specific condition and speaking to an employee of the breeder it is something well known about amongst Ornithologist, Veterinarian or Aviculturist, but was not included in our instructions of care/caution from the aviculturist we purchased from. Unfortunately, our Parrot passed away on route to the Veterinarian. We received and followed all care instructions explicitly and the breeder's list of do's and don't in her delivery package. We also did further research about how to care for this specific bird, but never came across this horrible affliction. This condition was not something easily learned about until we researched the specific conditions Nonstick Pans Eclectus Parrot and PTFE Eclectus Parrot. Whether our pet died from this or some other condition after less than 6 months of owning her and providing excellent care based on the breeder's instructions we feel we are owed a refund. Their position of rejecting any responsibility in this situation and their owner Juliet not returning my phone call after leaving 3 messages(12/03/16, 12/09/16 and 12/12/16) for her in regards to this situation is poor customer service at the very least. The fact that her employee blamed us for not doing more research (i.e. suggesting we were negligent), but willing to sell us another bird is unacceptable/immoral. If I had a chance to do it all over again. I'd find a more responsible breeder. Beyond the lost money our family lost a friend. One we were not only invested in monetarily, but emotionally. Best of Luck!!

I bought a Green Cheek Conure back in July from Aj's and honestly, this is the best place to get a bird in the chicagoland area. The care and effort they put into their birds shows. They are always so helpful and understanding. I love hearing their advice. They actually care about where their bird go instead of just worrying about a sale. They are so knowledgeable and I plan to buy from them again soon :)
