I only started running a few months ago and am learning a lot. Something I loved about Runner's High is the attention I was given to find the right shoe for my running style. They didn't rush me, and wanted to make sure I got the correct shoe. By the fourth pair I knew it was the right fit. My post-run calf pain magically went away! 

I'm now marathon training and between Gail and Cathy at the Metuchen store, and Craig at the Freehold location, I've gotten so much great advice and tips that has made my runs much more enjoyable. Thanks for everything guys and I will continue to talk up your store to every runner I meet!

I've had a handful of good experiences here and one or two bad ones. 

Be prepared: Runner's High is pricey. And the "return policy" offers only store credit. Some of the employees are exceptionally knowledgeable. All are polite and gracious.

Very pleased with the service. Had to wait a few minutes, but once it was my turn, I got a very personalized fitting. Shoes for like a glove.

We went to look for a shoe for my wife, only to realize that the store is very small. Asics listed this on its website. The person present was nice and cordial, but did not have the full range of products. We did not buy. This is a small multibrand outlet.

The owners and everyone who work at Runner's High could not be more helpful, knowledgable, and happy to help.  Many new runners underrate the importance of finding the correct running shoe; these guys will put you in the correct shoe for your stride so you feel good running, and of course they offer plenty of other running gear. A real community store hosting spike nights for high school runners, speakers, group training programs, and the Shore Running Experience camp for high schoolers.  If you need a running store, their Metuchen or Freehold locations are your best bet.
