Story

The Rutland Area Food Co-op is a community grocery store centrally located in downtown Rutland. We proudly carry local products from more than 180 small farms and producers found throughout Vermont and the Northeast. We specialize in organic foods and goods as well as those grown and made with sustainable practices, such as Fair Trade.

Although we’re a smaller store, you’ll find everything you’d expect from other markets: fresh produce, grocery basics, dairy and frozen foods, household products, health and beauty items, coffee, beer and wine. One of our signature departments is the bulk foods, where you can buy just as much as you’d like of fresh ingredients, including various grains and flours, beans, nut butters, granolas, spices, teas, sugars and more. Just fill one of our bags or containers or bring your own. For a quick meal on the go, we also offer a selection of house made sandwiches, soups and salads.
