It’s rare when fine cuisine, excellent service, warm (literally and figuratively) atmosphere, and communications with the kitchen all meet for a perfect, gluten-free dining experience. On each of our visits to The Common Man, we have found every dish creative and prepared and presented perfectly. As my girl friend has celiac’s disease, we also found the wait staff and chef knowledgeable about cross-contamination. They are clear about which dishes can be served as is, which can be modified, and which are off-limits to celiacs. This is a terrific restaurant for everyone.

I enjoyed everything about my visit, the staff was friendly and helpful and the food was great. There is no question that I will be back again.

Excellent food excellent bar and a really great room. Located in an old barn with giant stone fireplace, excellent cocktails made with local spirits and oh, yes, the food is spectacular! Right up there, if not surpassing Hen of the Wood for best in Vermont. Excellent curated wine selection and special food nights. Best to call ahead for reservations as it can get crowded on busy weekends.
