Sabino Canyon has great walking and hiking. From easy to difficult. I did the phone line trail and the view was beautiful. On the road the various bridges and waterfalls are beautiful. During the summer, Temps are to high to enjoy. Spring months bring lots of viditors. Check in with the ranger museum and you will learn a lot about the history and off the map places to camp. Bring lots of water. Very few ways to get water after the 1st mile

Probably our favorite park in Tucson. The tram ride is well worth it no matter how many times you take it, as you can hop on and off to take various hikes. Spectacular canyon flora that changes as you go up the road. Great visit for young children and babies and older folks who no longer want to or can't hike. You won't be disappointed.

but this is a great place and all... you can't go wrong with the visit. But the tram system is completely backwards. Both trams run only once an hour and they depart at the same time so if you were two minutes late then you've missed any opportunity to take a tram for another hour. It sounds like the system is organized to benefit the workers not the visitors who technically are paying the workers salary with the tram ride fee. Which is actually pretty high considering it's not so great a narrated tour and it really is just a ride in an hour. This is a great place to visit and if you are a first-time visit at Tucson of course check it out. If you're a local person especially the young kids you like to take your kids all the way to the top yeah you can bust your ass and hide in there but it's a long way to the water. I wish they offered some kind of frequent tram ride card or something like that because we visit a lot more often. It just seems really stupid that they don't stagger the tram rides so that visitors aren't stuck kicking around the small Visitor Center killing an hour if they just are unlucky with the time

My 8 year old daughter was not feeling well, and the park staff would not give her a ride down the mountain. They said to call 911. It was not a 911 emergency. I do not have the words to describe how despicable this practice is.

Amazing tour. We took the shuttle 30 min going and 30 coming back. A guided ride to the top of the mountain.
