When you have a bank to select and call your own, make it a credit union.

Here's why Sacramento Credit Union rocks:
They give you 1.75% back in your account at the beginning of every month once you use your debit card 12 times, deposit money once in the month and use online banking.
You get those pesky $3.00 ATM fees put back into your account at the beginning of the new month.
They are part of the co-op network so using an ATM or depositing money into your account from another credit union while out of town is a plus!  
There are other perks as well that I can't remember at the moment. 

This particular credit union has nice employees as well. They don't smile a lot, however they aren't rude and they don't have nasty attitudes. Getting in and out of here is also a breeze. Not to mention they have a private parking lot that is shared with Starbucks next door, but I usually can find an open spot with ease; unlike having to pay for street parking or trying to quickly run in and out of the branch on H St. hoping the parking police don't ticket your vehicle before you can get back. I also haven't had to wait a long time to see a teller. My average wait time has always been between 0 - 5 minutes.

They are realistic, easy to deal with, and winners. It took me only some hours to apply and get approved, they released the check at the same day.
