This Gonzaga location is consistently terrible. I only go there when it's the closest to where I'm at. Every time I ask myself WHY?! Today the cashier was more interested in the in-store coupon flyer (for her own shopping) than helping me. I had to ask if she was open and then she literally kept reading the the flyer and talked to her co-worker the entire time. The only time she seemed to know I was there was when she handed me the receipt. One time I was in there and had a cashier go on the entire time about how terrible her bosses were. Maybe true, but very inappropriate. Another time I was there the cashier dropped my yogurt, the container split and go yogurt all over. She didn't offer to have someone get a replacement, or even apologize. She asked if I was going to go get another one. I think it's worth going out of my way to avoid this location in the future.

Close to home,  friendly staff, clean store! Has most of the items you need or want.  They can't carry everything anyway.  I love the deli and meat sections so I can get as much or as little as I need.  I think you'll find it's a really nice place to shop for the food and all you need.

I go to the one on 4th because it's convenient, but many of the checkers are rude and make you feel like you are bothering them. I've noticed some new employees lately and they are much friendlier. I wouldn't mention the rudeness except that sometimes it's really uncomfortable, and consistently so for the three years since I moved to my current home. Glad to see friendlier folks up front. Otherwise, everything is clean, well organized and folks in specific areas like produce, meats, etc., are friendly and helpful.

Don't go in with aback pack, they will think you're stealing something? I was stopped by the deli manager and one of her assistance was  with her they stopped me at the produce department and asked me to open my bag I did not open my bag I put it down and she went through it, and I was told that was not their policy by someone else that work there the deli manager did not find anything in my backpack did not tell me she was sorry he just walked away with her assistant. I then told another manager what happen that manager told me that she would call me that next day and have the deli manager apologize. No one ever called

Under-staffed. Only reason I shop here is because it is so close to home. Do not shop here after 5 pm because only 2 Lanes are open and each is 15 people deep as is the self check out. The deli is a joke. The only time to get good food is maybe noon otherwise everything is old and dried out. The deli people are rude and ignore you. The checkers are actually really nice and try their best despite the odds against them. Although a worse neighborhood and farther away I will be shopping at the market Street one since it offers better quality deli and more lines. COME ON GUYS ... THIS IS PATHETIC. LET'S TOSS THE OLD DELI FOOD AND PUT OUT FRESH. 4:00pm today and I have to deal with shriveled up chicken wing bar and WITH GONZAGA NEXT DOOR LET'S GET MORE EVENING CHECKERS.
