Beautiful hotel located on picturesque grounds in Virginia wine country. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable, service was excellent. True 5 star hotel experience. A short walk from the quaint & cozy town. Food was great as well. Love the outdoor couches and fire pits, wonderful vacation spot less than an hour driving from most of DC.

I live in the area and occasionally have to work inside the Hotel. It's as clean and nice in the back as it is in the front for the guest. My stay at the hotel was great! The room felt like home, the food was amazing, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly!

If I could find a way to give more stars, I would. The Salamander Resort and Spa is incredibly! My best friend and I went there for a long spa weekend and could not have been happier with the services, staff, and grounds. The entire hotel is stunning and every room was more amazing than the last. The spa is marvelous and the massage I received is likely the best I have ever had. We were waited on hand and foot and enjoyed every second of our time there. I highly recommend it for a weekend getaway of luxury!

Christina and Chloe did a wonderful job of wedding planning for us! The entire staff is so accommodating and amazing as is the food and cakes baked by the chefs! Our wedding was a complete dream and the entire thing flew by so quickly and smoothly! The venue runs a tight ship and gives the bride, groom, and family a no-brainer planning experience. If I could rate them 100 stars I would - absolutely recommend this venue and their services to all brides in the search!

Exceptional in every way. This place was the best experience I have had in a long time, maybe ever, for an overnight stay. The rooms are beautiful and the service is excellent.
