Everything about it is beautiful! I’ve been a big fan of the bakery from Midtown, and now the airport too, so I was excited to see them open a spot in St. Paul. We enjoyed a lovely Sunday brunch and while most restaurants that would be a busy time, we were pleased that tables were open and service was speedy. The space is absolutely gorgeous. The staff was friendly (even giving us free bread to try!). I usually keep things simple and get a bag of cookies to go, especially if they have a cherry and chocolate chip that day. We tried the latte, which was well made, and the egg sandwich. We are used to Texas heat and found that the aoli had a pretty good kick to it which is nice if you like that, but if beware if you are a Minnesota spicy kind of person. Definitely go and take a friend, or treat yourself to a quiet retreat and delicious pastry!

If you care to risk your order not being made, go with Salty Tart! We've ordered their cakes for the past 3 years. Delicious cakes! However, when our cake was not ready the morning we went to pick up, it made for a sour experience. Thank goodness, this was a birthday cake and not a wedding cake. 😉 As a solution, they sold us 2 smaller cakes they had on hand - a major customer service miss to rectify their error, given the minimal discount that I had to ASK for. I'm disappointed, given how yummy their cakes are. But I would never risk them forgetting an order for a future occasion.

The staff was very friendly, it was a beautiful room and the food and coconut macaroon latte was amazing! We ordered the egg sandwich and salmon tartine then went back for dessert. Will definitely visit again!

I look forward to eating at their main location, but I purchased two ham and cheese croissants at their airport location for 18.54 and they certainly didn’t taste good enough for the price. They were lukewarm and not very palatable at that temperature.

Salty Tart Bakery is one of the stars of the Midtown Global Market (a great place to visit for shopping, cooking and eating, BTW). Michelle Gayer and her team turn out wonderful pastries, breads, and desserts. I love the mini cheesecakes, and the chocolate stout cake is awesome. Michelle's macaroons are practically a food group of their own; I can't visit without picking some up.
