Rude.  During our most recent, and last, visit, the staff was more interested in getting back to his social life than he was in us.  When he finished with our order, we weren't offered either bags or a box, as a result we were forced to carry six bottles individually.

While the selection is generally good, there is nothing there that you can't find at either Total Wines or the Beer Study.  In both of which the staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful.

Sam's Bottle Shop is probably the best place in South Durham to grab a craft beer. The selection is completely out of this world and there are usually 20+ beers on tap if you want to hang out here with your buddies after work. The store employees (I suppose they technically are not bar tenders) are knowledgeable about beers and provide good recommendations for new beers to try, based on beers that you like. You can absolutely tell they are passionate about brews. The one thing I should note is that parking here can be tricky, with Sam's parking lot filling up quickly at peak hours. Pro tip: sometimes I will park in the shopping center across the street (Harris Teeter) and walk across, just to save myself some headache.

If you're in South Durham, this is the best place for beer. Great for a beer on tap and huge selection of bottles. They always have a full rotation to choose from. The outdoor seating on the roof is nice, and pet friendly. The music selection is good and can range from hip hop to metal.

Great shop!  They've got an excellent selection of beers, and a nice place to sit and drink if you'd like.  They aren't very walkable (which is never ideal concerning a drinking spot if you ask me), but if you're looking to buy something and take it home....this is a great place.
