Dr. Watkins and the entire staff at Sammamish Highlands have cared for our dogs for over 20 years. They are kind, caring and excellent providers. When one of our dogs developed an immune system disorder, they coordinated care with a specialist and helped us extend her life by several years. When the time came for us to euthanize her, they made that event as comfortable for us and our pet as possible, allowing us to comfort her through the process. I recommend them without reservation.

Stay away! If you want your pet to live a long life, go somewhere else. The location is great! The prices are high but they are comparable to other eastside locations. The problem are the Doctors (Dr. Nicole Graffis), the greed made them forget what they learned in school. #GreedyVetKilledMyPet We went to Dr. Nicole Graffis, here's the story of how we lost our 9 month old kitten: The kitten was fine, he was eating well, drinking water and was playful. The only problem was, he would vomit every morning, like an alarm clock, 6 am on the dot. We were a little concerned, so we decided to take him to the vet, to check if everything is OK. As one would expect, we were looking forward to some blood test, stool test.. fever test.. the usual.. Dr Nicole Graffis started strong, talking about an obstruction, possible surgery and proposed to keep him at the clinic for the day, do x-rays and IV fluids. We got scared and agreed.. that was our mistake We picked the cat right before closing with a $500 bill and "kitten is fine" paper. After we got home, the cat would not eat, walk, in hours he couldn't keep his head up or stand. Next day he died When confronted, Dr Nicole Graffis told us: "but you agreed to it!" Yes! She was talking about surgery! The cat was OK when brought in, it wasn't dehydrated, it didn't need an IV for all day and tons of drugs.. It was ok to tell us, let's get some samples, go home.. But why order cheap tests? it's much easier and profitable to do the routine IV/XRAY. She didn't even listen to us that the cat is eating and drinking, she just followed the "money making" procedure. As I said they are expensive, and that's ok given the location. But for the money they charge, they should take time to listen to when a pet owner says. Her greed or indifference killed our baby. My advice, make a drive and go somewhere else, where the doctors do remember what they learned in school.

Our cat began having seizures in October 2015 and we took him to see Dr. Watkins. He explained seizures, the medication, and in general gave us good advice to manage our cat’s seizures. By January 2016, however our cat’s health problems worsened. He developed stage four kidney failure. He had lower disk problems in his spine and the periodic seizures adversely affected the disks and he began to have difficulty walking with his hind legs. Throughout January and February we took our cat into the clinic 3-4 times a week for fluid injections to flush out the toxins and keep him alive as long as possible. The clinic was always flexible in scheduling, and they were very fair about the cost. Dr. Watkins always gave us his honest opinion on the cat’s condition, so that we could keep him alive as long as possible yet ensure he wasn’t suffering. He and the staff made sure Bob had the best care possible. We had to leave town for a couple of nights during this time and we boarding our cat at the clinic. They brushed him, and took very good care of him, and for a reasonable price. n early March we had to put our cat down. The staff was extremely sympathetic and supportive. We were and still are devastated at the loss of our cat. What touched us the most was that a couple weeks afterward we received a card from the staff, and every person had made an extremely personal comment about our cat. They had taken the time to get know him, and cared about him deeply, to them he wasn’t just a cat or a patient, but an animal that they really cared about. If for no other reason I will continue to be a patron of the Sammamish Highland Veterinary Clinic and am confident and happy to have our two greyhounds be taken care of by Dr. Watkins and his staff.

This business made a mistake, my pet needed to wait another week for medicine to be out of his system. I was charged for the work they performed by this mistake without any discussion, even though it only occurred because of their mistake. Previously this vet had been good, however charging customers for your mistake is unethical.
