A friend from out of town, my wife, and I went out on a morning half day trip. Our tour group consisted of us three, another couple, and tour guide Cole. While on the water we saw a few other tour groups from what I would assume are other companies with sometimes 15-20 people! The small group allowed us to explore at our own pace (quickly) and felt more intimate and less like following a guided tour. Cole was very knowledgeable, and fit right in with the group. We unfortunately didn't see any whales (speaking to some locals the night before we found out that none of the pods had been sighted yet), but we did see eagles, harbor seals, porpoises, and star fish. The sights were nothing short of amazing! 

Cole was also very cognizant of our ferry time, and allowed us to relax and take in the sights while he worried about the clock. We got back at a great time, but were still able to see a lot! All three of us were very pleased with our experience, and are already looking forward to planning an overnight kayaking experience with San Juan Kayak Expeditions!

We had such a great time with our guide Jury! He was incredibly knowledgeable about the environment and the local area. Great teachings that prepared us for the whole excursion. Also a nice stop halfway in with a wonderful lunch. Got to see some marine life, even though we didn't see an orca. Overall great experience, would do it again with them!

My group of six friends rented boats for a three-day self-guided trip. We were told we'd get an itinerary, but we underestimated just how thorough and detailed it would be! Tim went through the entire itinerary on a map and discussed concerns about tides and specific hazards before we even left the shop. He and his staff were incredibly knowledgeable about the area and the equipment. We texted with him each night of our trip to let him know we'd arrived safely at our campsite, and he responded with the next day's weather forecast. We felt like we were in good hands and, thanks to his itinerary, snagged some incredible campsites! Cannot recommend renting from these guys highly enough.

We actually went last yr but it just occurred to me I never gave our guide the glowing review that he deserved. Our guide was chad. Not only was he an awesome guide who was .. empathetic to my obvious avoidenc to water in general, but he also was was hero of the day. He got out of his kayak​  and saved a baby deer that had became trapped during high tide and rowed it to the lighthouse to some good people to call animal control.

Beautiful day and fantastic experience! Got to kayak with an instructor Ty, I feel like I lucked out as he had so much knowledge about the area, flora and fauna and he was able to kayak me in close to different rock areas to look for starfish. We found some! Even though we didn't see whales he made the ride entertaining and interesting. The owners were also great in that I left my name the day before as I was just one person and no tours were booked yet, they made sure to call me when a tour was booked to add me on. Highly recommended!
