Created in 1973, the Sandusky County Park District provides natural areas for public appreciation and recreational use along with nature education for all ages, conducting over 300 programs and presentations per year. The Park District manages 12 facilities, 2314 acres serving an average of 150,000 park visitors a year including an average of 8,000 scuba divers from a multi-state area and Canada.
