While casually looking over some merchandise I was considering buying I stopped a passing employee with a question which she answered. Shortly thereafter she returned with a young man and explained that he was more knowledgeable about the products in case I had further questions. Bother were very helpful and informative besides being friendly and pleasant. Honestly, this is very typical of my visits to Scheels. A very welcoming store!

Fantastic selection of camping, hunting, wilderness, etc supplies. Great location and hours. Why two stars? Two stars because every employee I come across reminds me of the most emotionless attempt to communicate with other human beings that I have seen. I've visited and had to stand around for 15+ minutes on multiple occasions before I actually get any help with what I'm trying to buy. I do applaud them for that as it has helped me spend more money at local gun stores, but it also tends to be a rather annoying thing as a customer. I write this as my timer hits 13 minutes in store. No contact yet. Must venture on.

I frequent Scheels about once or twice a month on average over the course of the last several years. As others have stated, the selection is varied, prices are on the high side, but the staff is great. I tend to focus on the hunting/shooting area the most and would give 5 stars for my experiences with that specific group. Looking forward to shopping at the expanded store soon.

This is my happy place on the weekends and they don't judge me for coming in to just exist for an hour.

Retail can be tough but they will price match, great selection and a nice store.
