In a dental practice things are sometimes complicated. If mistakes or misunderstandings do occasionally happen, you want to know that the organization will make it right. That was the case with one of our recent interactions. We talked it through with Dr Ellard and reached a satisfactory resolution. Thank you for your integrity and for acting in good faith.

About 8 months ago, Dr. Ellars told me he suspected I had sleep apnea. I totally dismissed it, and wondered what a dentist would know about a medical condition. That and, there was no way I wanted to wear a "Darth Vader" cpap! In conversation, we talked about weight loss, something I've struggled with. These last few years were extremely stressful for me, so I attributed the gain from the stress. I started my weight loss journey.  He told me that I could jog 10 miles a day, go all paleo, etc but that if I had apnea, I would not lose weight. I left that day sure he was wrong.
Two strong diet efforts, exercising 3-4 times a week, taking vitamins and decreasing coffee, sugar and wheat products over the next 7 months...I lost 6 pounds.
Total.
If I'd made these changes in my 20'spare or even 30's, I would have dropped 20 pounds easily in a few weeks.
So I did the sleep study.
Guess what?
I have sleep apnea.
Getting my cpap this Monday.
I'm really grateful to Dr. Ellard and his team for their gentle persistence on this topic. I look forward to more energy, greater weight loss outcomes, and better health overall!

I was having major problems with two molars for over a year prior to contacting Dr. Ellard.  After going to two other dentists that could not identify the problem, I was in need of a dentist that had the professional knowledge, education, and experience to quickly identify the cause.  I knew right away when I walked into Dr. Ellard’s office that this experience was going to be wonderful.  The staff are caring and professional and are sincerely concerned about your health.  They will do all they can to ensure you fully understand the dental procedure and confusing insurance process.  After seeing Dr. Ellard for the first time and getting an x-ray with the most advanced equipment available, he quickly identified the problem that required the removal of both molars.  I scheduled an appointment quickly thanks to the very capable staff and the teeth were extracted.  I had immediate relief and currently in the process of receiving two implants to replace the molars.  I have since moved my entire family dentistry to Dr. Ellard and feel good knowing how well my family is cared for!    I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Ellard Dentistry for all of your dentistry needs!

There's a great team of folks working here to provide excellent care. I ask a lot of questions about what they are doing and looking at, and I'm always treated with respect and given the information I request without the bat of an eyelash. Everyone is very knowledgeable, helpful, and very kind hearted. They run a tight ship and do great work. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist.
