Two year old Kenmore Elite refrigerator showed an error code of RF which means that the fan is not working. Called service on 7/24 and was given an appointment for 8/4 between 8am and 12pm. At 12:05pm received a call that tech was sick and next appointment available was 8/21. Since our entire kitchen has been updated to Kenmore Elite products I went to the local store and discussed my dissatisfaction with the Assistant Store Mgr. She said that she would do what she could for me and I received a call that a tech would be out on Monday 8/7. Tech comes and says, "Oh, yes you need a fan", and he will order one. Since they knew the code, one would think that they would bring it with them!! Fan arrived on 8/10 but will not be installed until 8/22. Tech returns on 8/22 and installs fan, plus a refurbished control board as he says they often are the source of problems. Unit appears to be working when he leaves. Unit had been half working before, but that night we realize that while all the lights are now on, it is no longer working at all!! Call service and am told that the earliest that a they can get out is 9/6. Several phone calls later I am unable to get anyone to do any better. 8/23 they offer me $160 in points to go and get a mini fridge so at least we can keep the milk and butter etc. cool. Local store did not have any but another store did, so I picked one up there. On 8/30 I cancelled the tech so that we could go on a pre-arranged vacation and rescheduled for 9/25. Tech turned up and found that the first tech had not seated a connector properly on the board. Everything is working fine now. I have been a Sears customer for 32 years and in the past have always been pleased with their promptness in dealing with breakdowns etc. From what I understand in talking to the store and the techs, that level of service is no longer available.

I prefer a Sears repair serviceman not a AE repair man. I feel better when the blue truck pulls in my driveway . Sears repair people are nicer go out of their way to service and the AE group never does. Seriously think this is what has caused some of Sears problems fire this group they are rude and don't respect my home.

The service man was on time, competent, and friendly. Would have absolutely no problem using the same company and repairman again.

The worst repair service in the world. It took over a year to fix my LG washer. The only way to fix it was to replace the pump, that I told them was bad over a year ago. They still insisted that it was not the pump. Once replaced, no more flood. Please don't call yourselves repair technicians again. Finished with Sears!
