Horrible experience.  Went online to view mattresses.  Called their 800# to place the order and request a ship date 3 weeks out b/c I am moving in 3 weeks to new location.  I was told that would be fine.  But the very next day, I get an email telling me they will ship the mattress in 3 days.  What!??  I called and spoke to another person ... they assured me it would be fine and it would ship in 3 weeks.  BUT yet another email comes to me telling me they cannot delay shipment, it will ship in 3 days from a third party and I cannot cancel the oder!  I called AGAIN ... this time a new guy (and ALL their reps have very strong accents so it is very difficult to understand each other...) He tells me I have to call the third party company. ??? WHAT ?  WAIT.  When did I become customer service.  Guess what?  Not paying. They are TERRIBLE.  Really Sears?  Get your act together. Will never shop their again.  Bought my new washer and dryer from Home Depot.  Done with Sears.

Terrible experience with sales associate....screwed up order, left out pertinent information about product delivery info and extras that were needed. Still have brand new appliances in my garage 3 weeks after ordering due to miscommunication from associate. Will never buy from Sears ever again.

I was looking to get a refrigerator but needed to know if it could be delivered. Simple question. I asked two gentlemen standing with their thumbs up their butts if I could get assistance. They both looked at me with blank faces and finally said pat in the red shirt could help. They couldn't do anything because they were trainees. So I waited for pat who was busy with another customer. His questions were many and he was lucky enough to find a customer service representative that was helpful. So after waiting a few minutes I asked one of the trainees who was still standing with his arms crossed if he might be able to call someone to the refrigerator section so I could seel the deal and know if it could get delivered. Rudely he told me that they were VERY busy. He would not even pick up the phone to call assistance for me.  Horrible trainees that have no desire to answer a question or pick up a phone to get someone to answer a question. I left. They did not make their sale.

Sears is an anchor store in the mall. Your average store. Just look at prices online to make sure you getting a decent price of what your looking for.

I've had very good service at Sears for many years. The sales are amazing for clothes. We got our home air conditioner, oven, water heater, and dehumidifer to name a few. I got the extended warranty on things and the furnace was well worth it  alone. The clerks are helpful and polite. The negative is  not being able to talk to someone with questions. It takes a miracle to find a person to talk to, so I suppose really  it's a 3 rating for that.  I'm happy with Sears!
