Purchased Water heater, including installation by a sears subcontractor. On scheduled install date, the installer had to cancel because Sears could not locate the item, (although they had confirmed availability and location a day earlier).  I cancelled the purchase and was told the charge on my credit card would be immediately refunded. Three weeks (and numerous phone calls to customer service) later,  I am still trying to get the charge on my card removed. I previously considered Sears a dependable company,  but that is clearly no longer the case.

By far one of the worst customer service experience I have ever had and I didn't even buy anything!!!  The saleswoman Rosie was extremely rude.  She made a comment about the washer I had in mind and when I asked what issues the washer had she commented by saying, "I don't know, I'm not a mechanic."  I brought my friend who bought a washer and dryer and Rosie proceeded to be very rude with her questions, interrogating her with the choices she made.  
Also, when her computer would not work she would curse under her breath and make comments to her colleagues standing a few feet over.  The list goes on and my entire experience there was horrible. 
Being a manager myself, if my staff EVER provided customer service like Rosie did tonight, it would be the end of it. I hate writing bad reviews and I normally give 5 stars because I applaud when deserved. This was by far not deserved.  If you don't enjoy you're job, then there's the door.  I went to Lowe's and bought my washer and dryer there.  The sales consultant was very friendly and I will be giving him 5 stars and writing a letter of his exceptional performance.

 Just waited in line 30 minutes behind 1 person because customer service was so slow.  The whole time employees wandered by refusing to make eye contact.  Only 1 register open. The store was as hot and humid as a sauna. HIRE SOME HELPFUL EMPLOYEES OR PEOPLE WILL STOP SHOPPING THERE

I had high hopes about Sears recovering from its woes, but with customer service as it is I understand why they're circling the drain. I came in to exchange something I purchased and was given the run around before an employee posing as the manager told me to get lost. The employees were far more interested in their conversations to even try looking into my issue. I gave two stars only because of their generous rewards program.
