Stay away from this campground if you're from the South or not a regular camper! These people are fake and only after a LOT of your cash. They pretend like they're positive friendly people but when it comes down to it they're only concerned about keeping there friends happy. 

 We planned to stay for two months during the summer. We stayed for a couple of weeks before issues started coming up with a guy named Larry a seasonal worker transient who acts as if he is the lord commander of the campground. We got permission from the owners to do fireworks on the beach July fourth. We went and bought a $800 worth of fireworks and it was a blast except for Larry and his issues with control and anger. His use of profanity towards children and adults ruined the evening for the entire campground. 

  Spend your money elsewhere!! You will be dispointed in how this campground is ran. Check out Branch Lake or somewhere closer to Acadia.

On the water.  Very nice folks.  Didn't use the facilities so can't rate them. Electric hookup and water were fine.  Would be a bit close to neighbor in summer but in late fall,  they stayed open and only a few folks staying here.  A bit pricey for water sites but nicely done deck at each site.  Not too far from Acadia,  a bit over an hour easy scenic drive.

Excellent oceanfront campsites and creative local events. Searsport Shores has become a great "destination" campground for the Penobscot Bay region.

We loved the location and view from the campgrounds. Owners are terrific people that really care about giving you the best experience possible. Close to Acadia National Park, Belfast and many other great places to go.

This place is obviously a labor of love for Astrig and Steve. The campground in itself is a work of art. Personal touches that made me feel at home without feeling overbearing. Our walk-up tent site was picturesque- shaded by trees with a clear beautiful view of the water. Even spotted a seal right from our site! Lovely grounds to walk around or just sit and watch the tide come in and out. We loved the separation of RV and tent sites and loved how quiet the whole campground was. Searsport is a great middle point if you want to do some coastal Maine day trips, which was why we picked it.
