Great place. Week by the lake does anyone good.

Spent Labor Day weekend in a Rustic Cabin at Balsam Cove Campground. Definitely Rustic cabin as there was no running water or toilet in cabin or cooking area. Bathroom, shower and only dishwashing sink were not too far away. Cabin did have a very small refrigerator and small microwave. They offered wifi but was so slow we could not watch a movie on our tablet without downloading it first.  They had a great play area for the kids and docks for boats.  Also had a local area that served breakfast and late lunch early dinner for a charge. Small store that sold a few necessities and camp wood. 
The best part was the big bonfire on Saturday night. The whole campground came out for it and they played music, people danced around the fire and had a great time.  I would recommend this place to someone , just be prepared to rough it more than we were.

Thoroughly enjoy our stay at Balsam Cove Campground.  There was plenty for the kids to do during the day between swimming, the playground, and exploring the campgrounds.  The facilities were very clean and the staff friendly.  Also a magnificent Saturday night bonfire topped off our wonderful camping experience.

Great location, excellent sites on level ground, friendly to tents and motorcycles. Great swimming area and access for boats. Clean updated bathroom and shower facilities.

Nice campground with lots of activities for kids and adults alike. Very family oriented. We have enjoyed ourselves.
