We love Martha Jefferson hospital. It feels much more welcoming and community-oriented than some of the other hospitals in the area. And the food is wonderful!

I love Martha Jefferson! Dr. Levit saved my wife's life twice. Their Labor & Delivery staff are amazing. Shout out to Kathy R who patiently answered all of our new-parent baby questions. 2 Days in the hospital in 2016 and 5 days in 2017 and we didn't have one doctor or nurse that we didn't like.

Worst hospital i have never been treated at. The ER Dr had no interest in listening to anything I said. They also took my blood then decided it did not need to be checked. So they took my blood then throw it away!!!! I never complain I just let it go but not this time especially since my symptoms are very similar to menegitis and he just wanted to give me Valium.

The worst experience ever at the ER 7.5 hours with an open head wound and no treatment what should have been a thin scar will now be a huge scar on the forehead. No help, no pain killers and left to sit with blood everywhere. Will never ever go to them again, Should have gone to UVA

This hospital does not deserve to be called an ER, I have had better experience in a major inner city hospital, heaven help Charlottesville if we ever have a major event they couldn't handle it, thank god we have UVA too.

ER IS A DEATH BOX, my sister went there for a severe asthma attack and chest pains. We waited 2 hours in the ER before we decided to leave to go to the UVA hospital (SHE WAS STILL HAVING AN ASTHMA ATTACK AND CHEST PAINS WHILE WAITING). She was never seen except to get her blood pressure taken just to go sit back down in the ER. While we waited there with other severely ill people who were in there for hours at a time. A man who was noticeably unnatural pale who looked moments from passing out in a wheel chair, a man moaning in pain while holding his stomach unable to stay still, older people with oxygen tubes in their noses in wheel chairs. I'm no health care expert, but just my experience from this ER alone tells me that this is a dangerous and very unorganized hospital. I only hope that me or anybody I care about has to ever go here to receive any type of treatment for anything. Nobody can pause their injuries or sickness, so why does this hospital's ER think we can?
