As part of the Verity Health System, Seton Medical Center is an acute-care, 357-bed hospital located in Daly City, California.
History
On July 2, 1912, the Daughters of Charity opened Mary's Help Hospital on Guerrero Street in San Francisco. In 1965, they opened a new, larger hospital in Daly City to accommodate a growing patient population. Eventually, they changed the name to Seton Medical Center in honor of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, the American foundress of the Daughters of Charity and the first American-born canonized saint.
