Serving the greater Ft. Meade communities of Odenton, Hanover, Glen Burnie, Jessup, Gambrills, Laurel, and Howard County since 1988
A graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park (summa cum laude) and the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Patrick L. Holden has practiced small animal medicine and surgery for over 30 years. He is the clinical director and owner of Severn Square Veterinary Hospital which has served the greater Severn and Ft. Meade community for over 25 years. Dr. Holden's special interests include cardiology, surgery, and internal medicine. The hospital treats a wide variety of species including dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs and other pocket pets, and reptiles. Severn Square Veterinary Hospital offers a wide array of high quality diagnostic, medical, and surgical services including: wellness exams, vaccinations, behavioral problem counseling, radiology, dentistry, cardiology, internal medicine, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, critical care, and exotic medicine and surgery. There is a concerted effort in our practice in the emphasis and discussion of the prevention and control of zoonotic diseases (diseases that we and our children can contract from our pets). Our patients are not treated as case numbers and our doctors concentrate on individual patient care rather than the NUMBER of wellness plans to which clients commit as in the larger corporate practices. For after hours emergencies, Dr. Holden utilizes the Anne Arundel Veterinary Emergency Clinic with 24 hour 365 days per year monitoring and treatment capability. Our hospital offers discounts to BOTH active duty and retired military personnel.
