As a veterinary professional, I was thoroughly impressed from the time I walked into the hospital until my dog was discharged. The hospital is thoughtfully laid out and impeccably clean. All of the staff that I dealt with were professional, caring & skilled. Dr. Leasure and his team were friendly and accommodating, and obviously care about their patients. Fingers crossed that I won't need their services again, but I would take the 4 hour drive again in a heartbeat if I needed to. I highly recommend them!

Dr. Dycus and Dr. Prill are amazing. We are so grateful to them for everything they did to help our french bulldog make a full recovery after an injury to his arm. It is very telling to see that dogs who are repeat visitors to VOSM are so excited to come in the door. This is not a scary place for the dogs, but rather a place that they look forward to visiting. The entire staff here is friendly and helpful and they do an excellent job.

Our one year old long haired chihuahua Finn tumbled down a flight of stairs in early December. Our vet diagnosed genetic defect that caused him to lose his balance, a "locating patella, " or trick knee. We researched options for an orthopedic specialist and decided on Dr. Dycus at VOSM. We could not be more pleased with that choice. In the early examination of Finn's condition, Dr. Dycus laid out a comprehensive analysis of the condition and its implications for Finn's quality of life. As a borderline case, surgery was optional at the point we were at. In ensuing discussions--and Dr.Dycus was always available to advise us--we got great insight into the various implications of options. It was reassuring that we felt in control of our pet's fate and were not being directed to one avenue over another. We decided to have Dr. Dycus perform the surgery. The care Finn received was phenomenal. Our every concern for Finn's comfort was addressed. As a master of his art, Dr. Dycus did a wonderful job. The resulting minimum incision allowed Finn to heal quickly. The staff provided great advice and direction to ease our anxieties about his recovery. The reports and X-rays for our Vet were sent the same day. Follow up communication was quick and responsive, a major attribute of Dr. Dycus' caring attitude. The staff's attention to Finn's needs, like Brian putting him in his sweater for the overnight stay, one of the coldest ever, gave us a sense of comfort. The professionalism of those we interacted with, like Katie and Josh, was exemplary. We have no hesitation in recommending Dr. Dycus' talents to any pet owner searching for an orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Gallagher didn't return calls regarding his evaluation of my ailing and deteriorating dog for days. But the staff were happy to schedule a $4k procedure but it was impossible to reach the doctor who had recommended it! Fortunately, I took my dogs to another clinic (and then even another specialist) and not only were the procedures recommended by Dr. Gallagher completely inappropriate but they would have exposed my Dane to huge risks with absolutely no benefit. Multiple doctors confirmed an issue in my Dane completely overlooked by Gallagher. The staff at VOSM are inconsistent, rude and scheduling is a nightmare. The office manager, Michelle, is defensive and dismissive if you try to address any concerns you have and then she will send you an email telling you that you need to have your pets treated somewhere else.

Top notch care, excellent doctors at a fair price. Dr. Chun is the best.
