1st time here and it was very good. My wife had the green tomato blt and she said it was very good. I had the Korean fried chicken sandwich which was amazing. I was very glad it was my first meal I had here. But the sweet potato tots are the biggest winner. They are so good. Unbelievable. We didn't know that there was upstairs outside seating or we have chose to sit there. But overall this place is worth going to. Great job.
Great atmosphere! Love the music and overall vibe. They have outdoor seating. Food was excellent and affordable! My dad felt the same way. Parking nearby in a parking garage was only a few dollars. Safe area.
Our server was outstanding and so friendly. She was so excited to tell us about their late night karaoke that takes place on Sundays — an attraction for people working in the industry. The food was very good. The blistered Shishito Peppers with a spicy sauce were great. The French onion soup was a bit too salty, and the bruschetta was a much smaller portion than we were expecting, but overall a very good experience. The spinach artichoke dip was excellent and there are lots of other very good options on the menu. They also have a large selection of cocktails to choose from.
This trip was my absolute first time in Pittsburgh, and one of my co-workers suggested I head to this area of town to shop. After asking several strangers where to go eat dinner, and them all responding with “Shady Grove,” I decided to check it out! Well, I can see why everyone loves this place. The bartender Keria was absolutely fantastic. I had the amazing guacamole devil eggs. I know it sounds insane, but they are delicious. I also decided to try the jalapeno popper dip since two locals said it was the best order half chips and pita. It had to be the best I have ever had. Do not hesitate. Just go, and you will not be disappointed, especially if you are new to the city, alone, and on your first visit here. I got to sit and chat with some amazing people, it was a wonderful atmosphere to be in, and you are treated like you are a local at Shady Grove.
I often grab food here as it is close to my office. My go to appetizers is the Shazam shrimp. It’s kinda like a sweet heat sauce over fried shrimp. It’s paired with a slaw and greens that adds a palate cleanse and additional flavors. My entree always changes which is my confidence in their menu. Worth a shot to stop down!
Went for lunch on a Sunday, as expected there was a wait but not unbearably long. We strolled around walnut street while we waited for the text to come in that our table was ready. The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, the only problem I had was there were too many items on the menu I wanted to order! Definitely recommend
Yummy! Sweet potato tots are awesome- real potatoes & not the store bought kind most restaurants serve. Burger was great & the guacamole topped deviled eggs were a tasty alternative to the norm. Definitely recommend!
nice lunch here with a friend....I had the carribean chicken salad, friend had the fried cauliflower tacos and we shared the sweet potato tots with Cajun ranch. Friendly wait staff, good food and outdoor dining on a summer's day, what's not to like?!
My boyfriend and I went to Shady Grove for brunch on Saturday. They open at 11am and we got a seat at that time. The service was overall pretty good. The server didn’t know that Cabernet Sauvignon was a red wine but that’s okay we got past it. We got the Irish brunch nachos for an app. They were fantastic. My bf got the breakfast burrito. He said it didn’t have much taste. Too much pesto on top see pic. I got the Shazam shrimp tacos and they were bomb. We would try again.
Great bar in Shadyside. Good food, good music and nice atmosphere. I got a tomato soup and a steak sandwich. Tomato soup very tasty with a thick layer of melted cheeseFood: 5/5
